Brian Thomas
Photo of Brian Thomas As President, Brian is responsible for the sales, marketing, contracts and operations management of the company. He is a professional engineer with experience working as a Drilling and Completions Engineer, Drilling Supervisor and Drilling Superintendent. Brian began his career in 1981 with Dome Petroleum Ltd. in the Canadian Arctic and, after stints with Amoco Canada Petroleum Company and Canadian Hunter Exploration, worked overseas from 1991-2002 until the start-up of Spirit West. Brian developed a good understanding and appreciation for his current clients' needs through working with oil and gas companies in much of his career.


Jim Bukovec
Jim is our Field Supervisor responsible for field operations that includes providing direction to all Rig Managers, hiring of rig crews, liaising with client field representatives, equipment maintenance and field implementation of the company’s Environmental Health and Safety Program. His experience also includes supervision for the construction and rig up of the company's service rigs in 2006. Prior to his current management position with Spirit West, Jim entered the oil and gas industry in 1995 working primarily as a Driller and Rig Manager on service rigs in southern Alberta.
